Translation is nowadays normally done with the help of computers, meaning that the translator proceeds from one sentence to the next. It is therefore easy with longer texts to lose sight of the overall document. To ensure that the final text is consistent and coherent, we work using the following methodology:
First proofread by the translator him/herself
All translations checked by an editor
Texts checked by a proofreader for orthographical and grammatical accuracy
Alignment of user interface and documentation
Terminology check
Checking that text suitable for target group
Bei der heute üblichen computergestützten Übersetzung geht der
Übersetzer Satz für Satz vor. Bei längeren Texten kann man daher leicht
den Überblick verlieren. Damit dennoch ein
konsistenter, stimmiger Text herauskommt,
arbeiten wir folgendermaßen:
Erster Korrekturlauf durch den Übersetzer selbst
Überprüfung aller Übersetzungen durch einen Redakteur
Überprüfung der Texte durch einen Korrektor auf orthographische und grammatikalische Richtigkeit
